The short version: here's how projects work, and what happens to your information when you get in touch. Written in plain English on purpose — jump to whichever part you need below.

Terms & Conditions

These terms apply whenever you work with Leave It With Me on a project. Accepting a quote means accepting these terms too — but there's nothing sneaky in here, just how things run in practice.

1. About Leave It With Me

Leave It With Me is a South African small-business support studio run by Danni, offering services including:

Website design and online stores
Branding and brand refreshes
Social media graphics
Facebook / Meta assistance
Digital advertising assistance
Online business setup
App / digital concept prototypes
Ongoing business support

All projects are provided subject to the agreed quotation, the scope described in it, and these Terms & Conditions.

2. Quotes & Project Acceptance

Quotes are valid for the period shown on the quotation.
A project is considered accepted once you approve the quotation and pay the required deposit, where applicable.
Approving a quotation also means accepting these Terms & Conditions.
Any additions or changes requested after approval may need a revised quote.

3. Deposits & Payments

A deposit may be required before work begins.
The deposit secures your project's place in the schedule and allows work to start.
Remaining balances are paid according to the schedule agreed in your quotation.
Final editable files, website transfers, source files or other final handover items may be withheld until the account is paid in full.
Some third-party costs may need to be paid upfront — see Section 8.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

You may cancel a project at any time by notifying Leave It With Me in writing. Where work has already started, any refund or amount still owing will take into account the work already completed, time already spent, and any reasonable third-party costs already incurred.

Any rights you may have under applicable South African consumer law remain unaffected by this policy. Where you've specifically asked for work to begin immediately, work may start before any applicable cooling-off period has expired, where this is legally permitted.

5. Scope, Revisions & Extra Work

Your quotation defines exactly what's included in the project.
Reasonable revisions are included where specified in that quote.
Major changes, new concepts, additional pages or features, or work outside the original scope may be quoted separately.
Changes to scope may also change the timeline.

6. Timelines & Client Responsibilities

Project timelines depend on you supplying information, images, passwords, content, approvals and feedback when they're needed. If these are delayed, the project deadline moves accordingly. Leave It With Me isn't responsible for delays caused by the client, or by third-party platforms and services outside its control.

7. Inactive Projects

If a client becomes unresponsive for 30 days or more, the project may be placed on hold or archived. When you're ready to pick things back up, work resumes according to Leave It With Me's current availability at that time. If a lot of time has passed, or the project's requirements have changed, a revised quote may be needed before work continues.

8. Third-Party Services & Costs

Some projects use or require external services, such as:

Domains
Website hosting
Shopify or other ecommerce platforms
Canva
Meta / Facebook
Google services
Plugins and apps
Stock images
Fonts
Printing
Email hosting
Payment gateways
Other third-party software or services

Third-party fees are not included in a project fee unless specifically stated in your quote. Leave It With Me doesn't control third-party pricing, outages, account suspensions, platform changes, policy changes or availability — and you remain subject to the terms of those providers directly.

9. Websites & Ongoing Maintenance

Once a website is handed over, ongoing updates, maintenance, backups, security monitoring and future edits aren't automatically included, unless they're specifically quoted for or covered by an ongoing support agreement. Leave It With Me is always happy to provide this kind of support separately — just ask.

10. Advertising & Marketing Results

Leave It With Me may assist with advertising setup, graphics, targeting, Meta/Facebook ads and other marketing activity. However, no specific level of sales, leads, followers, reach, engagement or revenue is guaranteed. Advertising platforms make their own decisions regarding approvals, delivery, account restrictions and performance, and results depend on a range of factors outside Leave It With Me's control.

11. Client-Supplied Content

You're responsible for making sure you have permission to use any material you supply for your project, including logos, photos, videos, text or copy, product images, trademarks, fonts, music, or other copyrighted content. Leave It With Me may assume that anything you supply is authorised for use.

12. Intellectual Property & Ownership

Once a project has been paid in full, you receive ownership of the final custom deliverables created specifically for you. This does not, however, transfer ownership of:

Third-party assets
Stock photos
Licensed fonts
Software
Plugins
Templates
Open-source components
Platform assets
Pre-existing Leave It With Me resources
Reusable tools, systems or code

These remain subject to their own original ownership or licensing terms.

13. Portfolio Rights

Leave It With Me may display completed work in its portfolio, on its website and across social media for promotional purposes, unless you request confidentiality before the project begins, or a different agreement has been made.

14. Complaints & Resolving Problems

If something's not right with a project, please get in touch first so there's a chance to sort it out reasonably and directly — that's always the quickest route to a fix. Reach out at hello@leaveitwithme.co.za.

15. South African Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa.

Personal Information Collected

Information may be collected when someone:

Submits the contact form
Requests a quote
Emails Leave It With Me
Gets in touch through WhatsApp or social media
Works with Leave It With Me on a project

This may include your name, email address, phone number, business name, project details, messages, and any other information you voluntarily supply during a project.

How Information Is Used

Information may be used to:

Respond to enquiries
Prepare quotations
Communicate about projects
Deliver services
Provide customer support
Maintain business records
Improve the website and services
Measure website and advertising performance, where analytics tools are used

Website Analytics & Advertising Tools

This website may use services such as Google Analytics and Meta Pixel. These services may collect information about how visitors use the website, including pages viewed, device and browser information, approximate location, referral information, advertising interactions, and pseudonymous identifiers. They may use cookies or similar technologies to do this. This information is used to understand how the website is performing and to improve advertising and marketing activity.

Contact Form / Web3Forms

This site's contact form is processed through Web3Forms, a third-party service that delivers your enquiry to Leave It With Me. As with most third-party providers, information passing through their service may be processed outside South Africa.

International Data Processing

Some of the service providers Leave It With Me relies on may store or process information outside South Africa. Where this happens, Leave It With Me takes reasonable steps to use reputable providers and to handle personal information in line with applicable South African privacy requirements.

Sharing of Information

Information is only shared where reasonably necessary, with service providers used to operate the business or complete a project. Examples include website hosting providers, email providers, Web3Forms, Google, Meta, website or ecommerce platforms, and payment providers where applicable. Personal information is never shared or sold for unrelated purposes.

Data Retention

Personal information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary — to provide services, respond to enquiries, maintain business and accounting records, meet legal requirements, or resolve disputes. Information that's no longer reasonably required is deleted or securely disposed of.

Your Rights

You're welcome to contact Leave It With Me to ask what personal information is held about you, request corrections, request deletion where appropriate, or raise a privacy concern — email hello@leaveitwithme.co.za. These rights are subject to applicable South African law (POPIA). If you're ever unsatisfied with how a request is handled, you can also contact South Africa's Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
